Biography	My name is Julie Flora, I am the mom of four awesome kids, three boys and one girl.  We also have three children, two boys and a girl,  who have been with us for nearly two years and we are in the process of adopting. I have been involved with scouting for nearly twenty years as a parent.  The past 7 years I have been a registered scout leader.  I am currently a committee member and adult leader for Troop 23 in Council Bluffs, where my son, Mason is a Life scout.  I am also a den leader with Pack 432 in Glenwood, my foster son Kenny is a Bear this year.  I completed Wood Badge in 2005 and I am proud to say that I am an Eagle!  A good ole Eagle, too! My career as a speech language pathologist has allowed me the opportunities to work with individuals who have ranged in needs from articulation therapy to profound mental retardation and developmental delays.  In the past I worked with children with hearing loss.  The children attended a school in Omaha whose focus is on teaching children with hearing loss to listen and talk by utilizing hearing aids, cochlear implants and intense language instruction.  My husband, Dave and I are also licensed foster parents.  We have had ongoing training to help us with the challenges that many children are faced with when they enter the foster care system.  We have had several children in our care who have provided us with the opportunity to utilize our extensive training.
